We are looking for a mechanical engineer who will become part of the Technical Office to develop new products and update and / or modify existing products. Working closely with Team Leaders of the Engineering Dept., strong interaction with other office teams and with other departments, (Purchasing, Marketing and Manufacturing Depts.) is required as well as with the network within the group.


    To develop the design, to carry out the risk analysis and to verify the conformity of the products to the regulations in force (environmental, safety, etc.). Verify the correctness of the data concerning the preventive costs and the feasibility. Make the choice of components from a technical and economic point of view. To develop the Bill of materials and to issue the related documentation. Create the CE and PED technical file. To give technical support to the production during the launch and production phase of new products.

    Atlas Copco is currently looking for a Strategic Buyer to join the Sourcing Department of its manufacturing facility located inBrendola (Vicenza). In this position You will get assigned certain components commodities and You will manage the Suppliersrelationships in an active way, assuring the selected Supplier base meet and exceed the requirements in terms of sustainability, quality, price and time to deliver.

    Some of Your responsibilities will be:

    • Strengthening a network of Suppliers capable of supporting current needs and strategic goals.

    • Steering Suppliers selection processes with cost analyses (based on total cost of ownership).

    • Leading negotiations and negotiating supply agreements.

    • Identifying product and/or process optimization, leading to cost reductions.

    • Following-up suppliers performances and working on continuous improvement plans.

    • Working on new Product development projects together with the colleagues from Engineering and leading Your ownpurchasing projects.

    In this position You will report to one of the Team Leaders Purchasing.

    The Manufacturing engineer is part of the flow team, reports to the Manufacturing Team Leader and will be responsible for improvingmethods, processes, and tooling to optimize production requirements and material flow in his competence lines, utilizing knowledgeof product design, materials and parts, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods.

    Evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards, estimates production times, define balancing and ideal mix,define production line layouts according with lean manufacturing concepts, create, update and follow up assembly work instructions,train and support operators.

    Provide an important link between shop floor personnel and engineers, being key resource for new products introduction projectsand production representative on Project Team Meetings. Work on projects with both individual missions as 5S or within project teams like as new product development, taking part or fullresponsibility. Close interaction with suppliers of equipment, purchasing, D&D and of course, the production flow teams will be thekey. Investigate assembly tooling requirements, define specifications for new tooling and follow up on existing assembly tooling by settingup maintenance schedules.

    We have a vacancy for a Service Specialist within the Technical Support department of Atlas Copco Product Company Brendola. As a Service Specialist, your mission is to offer support to the customer centers to further enhance the reputation of our products. You will report to the Technical Support Manager.

    This will include the following responsibilities:

    - Offering day by day timely service support to the Customer Centers via i.e. the call database

    -Continuously improve the product quality by a proactive failure reporting follow up.

    This includes analysing warranty reports, be the driving force in the technical committee meetings (TCM) and participating in the product quality meetings (PQM)

    Inform the customer centers via Service bulletins and the Service Website about products improvements and actions to be taken.

    Play an active role in product development to assure the highest level of serviceability and lowest lifecycle cost by giving a strong involvement in the project team meetings (PTM)

    Provide accurate and up to date service information related to the product range. Develop documentation, service kits and tools for improving serviceability

    Provide and develop technical training in conjunction with the competence development group


    Interaction will include frequent contacts with the customer centers, other product companies, finance, purchasing, engineering, production and product managers.
